ICATS is authorized to provide the following services:

• organization of events related to traditional arts societies
• publication of relevant resources
• creation and registration of coats of arms according to traditional art forms
• registration of information regarding traditional arts and societies.

Regarding the creation and registration of coats of arms, this service offered: (1) to promote appreciation and knowledge of traditional art forms and societies, (2) to make available to citizens of countries without a heraldic authority an official process to obtain a grant of arms with proper registration.
